Richard P. Kotulak 84 of Brandon, Fl formerly of Bentleyville died Wednesday July 17, 2013 in Brandon Regional Hospital, Florida. He was born in Bentleyville on September 15, 1928 a son of the late John and Anna D'Vorchak Kotulak. He was a 1946 graduate of Ellsworth High School. He then worked for Bethlehem Colliers Company. Mr. Kotulak graduated from Penn Commercial Business/Technical School. He worked as an accountant for Beatty Motor Express, Womeldorf Trucking Company, and retired from Boccabelo and Son Construction. After retirement he worked at Chippewa Golf Club as a starter. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from where he was honorably discharged after serving at Donaldson Air Force Base in Greenville, SC during the Korean War. He served as Sgt. (T) in the 375 Supply Squadron, 375 Troop Carrier Wing from October 15, 1950 to April 16, 1952. On September 6, 1952 in Sts. Mary & Ann Roman Catholic Church in Marianna he married Margaret Mihalek. They established their family in Bentleyville, PA where he attended Ave Maria Parish. After retirement they moved to Brandon Florida where he attended Nativity Parish. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and mostly his family. He was a member of the National Slovak Society, Lifetime member of SOKOLS, and the American Legion. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Margaret Kotulak, sister Mildred Satina, and his children Joyce Barthle and husband Len Barthle, Jennifer Kotulak, and Richard John Kotulak, grandchildren Sherry Vaughn, Jeff Barthle, Garrett Yoder, Christine Kotulak, John Kotulak, great grandchildren Patience Bond, Nicholas Kotulak, Lucas Guzman, and Luis Guzman. Deceased in addition to his parents are his step mother Ruth Korfant, sister. Alberta Kotulak and infant sister Cecilia Kotulak Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden St. Washington. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville PA with Rev. George Chortos as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
