Richard C. Loar, 59 of Washington passed away at home on October 18, 2024 surrounded by his wife Jennifer and special friend Tamara Brockway. He was born in Cuyahoga Ohio on November 25, 1964, son of the late Albert Richard and Priscilla Ann Beckus Loar. He attended McGuffey schools and then was self employed working construction. Richard attended Arise Christian Fellowship where he gave his heart to the Lord. He loved camping, fishing, and all things outdoors. He also cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter. On October 25, 1997 he married Jenn (Gregorczyk) Loar in South Canonsburg Church. After sharing 26 years of marriage Richard and Jenn renewed their wedding vows on April 20, 2024 in Arise Christian Fellowship Church, which was "the happiest day of his life." Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Kayla (Robert Glassford) Loar, son Nathan Loar (Angelina "Angie" Arnold), granddaughter Arielle M. Loar, five bonus grandchildren Isabella M, Arianna J, Nicholas E., Joseph F., and Anthony J. Arnold, three sisters Robin Neel, Tina Cox, Tonya Loar, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are a son Richard Colby Loar, sister Pam Loar, and brother Leslie Loar. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday October 22, 2024 from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington where funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Lindsay officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Nichol Funeral Home.
