Robert Stanley (Bob) Santek, 58, of Washington died in the Donnell House Sunday September 2, 2018 following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born on May 14, 1960 to the late Robert and Joyce Thompson Santek, Sr. He was a graduate of Washington High School and received his associated degree in HVAC at Penn Commercial at the age of 50. He was self- employed doing HVAC, Carpentry and Maintenance work.
He was a member of the Ruff Creek Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and spending time reading his Bible. He was an avid Disc golf player for Washington, Disc Golf Alliance of North Strabane a member of PDGA, liked to go fishing and was a bargain shopper. Bob loved a good joke but could never tell it again. He liked to vape while hanging out. He enjoyed ice cream and Vernors Ginger Ale. Most important he loved his family. He cherished his wife and children while spending time with them. He was very passionate about everything he did, from helping others to being a friend.
He is survived by his wife Ruth M. Hutter Santek, whom he married on May 17, 1995, Seven children; James Montgomery, State College, PA, Kimberly Seibert (Kevin Nixon) Washington, PA, Tammy Montgomery (Josh Grim) Washington, PA, Michael Montgomery (Andrea Lysinger) Washington, PA, Kelley Shuba (Joey), Washington, PA, Bobbi Santek Washington , PA, and Jasper Santek Washington, PA. Twelve grandchildren; Madison Anderson, Mason Montgomery, Lily Montgomery, Kelli Spence, Sean Taylor, Dalen Seibert, Laci Seibert ,Alexis Fox, Robert Stanley Grim, Gabriel Montgomery, Malachi Shuba and Eden Shuba. Two great grandchildren, Baxton Kopp and Gavin Stewart. Four Sisters Jo Blakeslee (Jeff) Claysville, PA Terry Bartley, Ohio, Tina Brooks (Rich) Ohio, Tonya Dailey, McKeesrocks, PA and one brother John Santek (Carole) Washington, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents are a grandchild, Elijah Montgomery and a sister Cindy Velardo.
Family and friends will be received Thursday September 6, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. the time of funeral service in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, PA with the Pastor Bruce Graff officiating.
