Robin Anglin slipped the surly bonds of this earth into the arms of our Lord on Monday April 11, 2022 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on January 30, 1957 to Clarence and Marion Edgar (McBride) in Washington, Pennsylvania. After becoming a Registered Nurse in her hometown, Robin set out to experience adventure out West.

That adventure included growing a menagerie of horses, dogs, birds and rescued animals of all types while pursuing her passion for nursing working at different hospitals in the Phoenix area. Her incredible skillset versatility is exemplified by her time as a Cardiac Nurse, an Emergency Room Nurse, a Flight Nurse, as well as a Paramedic Coordinator. Among these many accomplishments, she was most proud to not only be invited, but subsequently reelected, to serve as a board member and treasurer for the Daisy Mountain Fire District. She was honored to serve her community in that capacity for 8 long years.

In 2011, she began a new adventure with her husband, Kevin Pool, moving to Black Lake, New Mexico (very rural), continuing her beloved career as a nurse in the Taos Holy Cross Hospital, while also remodeling a ranch house on land they had purchased there. When they weren't finishing projects or admiring the view of wild elk from their front porch, they enjoyed planning travels to Arizona, Pennsylvania and Hawaii and visiting family.

While visiting family in Tucson to escape a snowy northern New Mexico winter, they were unexpectedly given Robin's cancer diagnosis. She began treatments at Carondolet St. Mary's Hospital and the University of Arizona Cancer Center where she received the same kind and compassionate care that she herself had given thousands of patients throughout her own career. She approached each day with relentless positivity – something that will continue to resonate with all who know and love her.

Robin is preceded to Heaven by her mother, Marion. She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Pool, bonus-son Michael Pool (Whitney), and bonus-daughter Caroline Ordonez (Adan); bonus-grandchildren Lucas, Emiliana, Quinn, Ari and Camilo; her father, Clarence Edgar, her sister Debbie Link (Bob), and her brother Bobby; Nieces Kim, Kristen, and Kelly, along with an amazing number of extended family and friends.

A celebration of Robin's life will be held on Thursday, April 21st at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85022. Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm with a formal service to follow. Additional services will also be held in Washington, Pennsylvania, details to come. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, or your favorite animal rescue.
