Ronald Arthur Sprowls Jr., 57 of Cadiz, Ohio died Monday February 9, 2026 in Trinty West Steubenville Hospital.
He was born in Washington on May 25, 1968 a son of the late Ronald Arthur Sr. and Shirley Ann Blazic Sprowls.
He grew up in Claysville, graduating from Washington Christian High School in 1986. After High School he attended
TDDS in Lake Milton Ohio. He worked as a truck driver for over 25 years, most recently for Buddy Greg in Eighty
Four and for Midwest Transport before that. He played lead guitar in the band Drunken Hillbillies. Ronald also
enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and trucks, demolition derbies, and spending time with his grandchildren.
On July 15, 1989 he married Brenda Sue Jordan Sprowls. Surviving in addition to his wife of 36 years are children
Jessica (Shane), Josie (Kevin), Roni Sue (James), Jordan (Jacob), nine grandchildren Julieann, Trinity, Marissa,
Hunter, Hayley, Kane, Kizer, Kaden, and Journie, as well as several cousins, and close friends. Deceased in
addition to his parents is a sister Ann Sprowls. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4P.M. and 6-
8P.M. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where funeral services will be held on
Friday February 13, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Craig Wright officiating. Interment will be held at West Finley
Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com The family suggests wearing
Drunken Hillbillies attire
