Russell Chalmer Neff, 75, of Waynesburg, died Monday, December 10, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born November 14, 1943, in Waynesburg, to the late Chalmer W. and Minetta E. Tenant Neff.
Russell attended Trinity School District. He joined the U.S. Army in 1961, being stationed in Germany until 1963.
Russell was a welder for Joy Manufacturing for many years. He was a master cabinet builder for over 40 years before his retirement.
Mr. Neff was past president and a member of the Waynesburg Eagles 598, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, where he drove a bus to take veterans to the Veterans Affairs Hospital for many years.
Russell loved wood working, remodeling houses, working on his '55 Chevy, fishing and hunting when he had time and spending time with his family.
He married Benjre Delaway on November 14, 1976.
He is survived by his wife Benjre; son Danny (Charlotte) Neff of Mather; daughter Tracey (Tom) Neff Milush of Georgia; stepson Randy Schreiber of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Jennifer Caldwell, Amanda Phillips, Mike Caldwell, Lauren Noel Milush and Derek Milush; four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Abby, Otto and Levi; brother Charles (Mikki) Neff of Monessen; two sisters, Arlene (Curt) Efaw of Lone Pine and Shona (Mike) Eakin of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Marlene Cox.
There will be no public visitation. Interment will be private. Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, is in charge of arrangements. A guest book may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com .
