Shirley Jane Shaw 55 of Scenery Hill died Wednesday August 15 2012 in the Washington Hospital. She was born in Marianna on February 26, 1957 a daughter of John and the late Mabel Hunt White. She was a 1975 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School. Shirley was presently employed at CYS where she has worked as a typist/clerk for 15 years. She enjoyed baking and playing slot machines. In 1980 she married David Carl Shaw in the Garwood Baptist Church in Daisytown. She is survived by her husband David Shaw of Scenery Hill with whom she has shared 32 years of marriage, a son Christopher David Shaw and wife Laura, daughter Amanda Bridget Essay and husband Jamie, granddaughter Cassidy Rose Shaw, father John White, 4 sisters Grace (Robert) Guthrie, Ellen (John) Sworchek, Opal (Ed) Morris, Diane (Charles) Elias, brother John Jr. (Diane) White, mother-in-law Elsie Shaw, as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 Main Street Marianna, PA 15345 where funeral services will be held on Saturday August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cliff Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery.
