Obituary

Shirley M. Weaver 76 of Amity died Friday October 17, 2014 in her home. She was born in Washington on May 24, 1938 a daughter of the late Elmer and Doroty McClay Mounts. She attended Wolfdale elementary school and was a 1956 graduate of Trinity High School. She worked at Ball Glass in Washington for 17 years and thas as a secretary for Washington Ford for many years. Shirley was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church, member and a founder of Lone Fine Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxillary, and the National Pike Steam, Gas, and Horse Association. On October 25, 1958 she married H. Linn Weaver with whom she had shared almost 56 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to her husband are three children Christy McDonald (Barry Palmer) of Fredericktown, Barry Weaver of Washington, and Darla Burns of Amity, a sister Dorothy J. Stein, two brothers Elmer "Skip" Mounts and Dennis Mounts, two granddaughters Nicole Burns and Shalinn Weaver, two great grandchildren Peyton Burns and Cameron Burns. Deceased in addition to her parents are a son Robert Scott Weaver, who died at birth, as well as an infant sister Nancy Mounts. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 6-8p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 11:00a.m. with Rev. John Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery.
