T. Ray Doty 90 of Amity died Monday June 25, 2012 in the Washington Hospital He was born September 24, 1921 in Ruff Creek a son of the late Thomas O. and Mary E. Watson Doty. He attended Pleasant Hill School in Ten Mile. He worked For Judson Wiley in Washington for 43 ½ years until his retirement in 1977. Mr. Doty also was a co-owner of the Lone Pine Market. He was a lifetime member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church where he had previously served as a trustee and Sunday School superintendent. He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge, enjoyed hunting spending time with his family and loved to cut wood. On November 23 1945 he married Leona "Katie" Montgomery Doty with who he shared 65 years of marriage before her passing on October 26, 2010. He is survived by two daughters K. Arlene Bendik of Amity, Peggy Ann (Lucky) Palyas of Amity, 5 grandchildren Steven (Paula) Bendik, David Bendik, Cheri (Don) House, Chandra Rasel, Chalese (Brian) Bash, 11 great grandchildren Christopher, Justin, Jacob, Emily, Haley, and Hunter Bendik, Joshua House, Tahner and Taylor Patterson, and Eli and Ava Bash. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are a brother Ralph W. Doty and a son-in-law Dan W. Bendik. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2-9p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington where funeral services will be held on Thursday June 28, 2012 at11:00 a.m. with Rev.
