Thomas Eugene Hartman 70 of Washington died Monday August 15 2011 in the Washington hospital. He was born April 20, 1941 in Allegheny County. He attended Pittsburgh schools. Mr. Hartman worked at the Washington Hospital for 29 years in maintenance until his retirement in 1997. He attended Zion United Methodist Church where he previously served as a trustee and usher. He enjoyed repairing and taking apart machinery, loved his family, church, and spending time with his grandchildren He is survived by his wife of 22 years Laura Jean McCarty, children Patrick (Jennifer) Hartman, Lawrence (Darla) Hartman, Nick Romanakis Jr, Pamela Stephens, 11 grandchildren Joshua Young, Sam White, Caleb, Jonathan, and Cameron Romanakis, Brooke, Daniella Stephens, C.J., Anastasia, Timothy, and Jake Paradise. Deceased is his first wife Mary Lou Kelly. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street where funeral services will be held on Friday August 19 2011 at 11:00a.m. with Pastor Rico Vespa officiating.
