Twila M. Gottschalk ,
73, of Prosperity died Friday September 8, 2017 in the Paramount Senior Living, McMurray, PA.
She was born on December 31, 1943, a daughter of the late Herman and Virginia Hupp Durbin.
Twila graduated from Trinity High School. She worked in the classified and Circulation Department of the Observer Reporter, working over twenty years before retiring in 2008.
On April 20, 1963, she married Ronald C. Gottschalk.
Twila was a member of the Lone Pine Christian Church, a member of the" Washington Cruisers" Car Club and the Morris Twp. Historical Society.
She coached Girls Softball in Prosperity.
She loved to take pictures, which were often published in the O.R. Twila also enjoyed country music and Line dancing.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters: Danise L. (Willy) White of Prosperity, Amy M. (Rusty) Paul of Prosperity and Jodi A. (Bill) Fitzgerald of Canonsburg.
A brother Dennis Durbin of Washington and two sisters Doreen Pettit of Washington and Lorie Durbin of Washington.; Two grandchildren Riley and Rachel Fitzgerald and three step-grandchildren Jake White, Chelssee White and Kayla Paul, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents are an infant brother Sherman Bradley Durbin.
Friends and family will be received at the
Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA on Monday September 11 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.; Tuesday September 12 from 2:00P.M.-4:00P.M. and 6:00P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 13, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in the Nichol Funeral Home, Washington PA.
Interment will be in Upper Ten Mile Cemetery, Prosperity, PA.
