Virginia Ruth Goughenour 80 of Amity died Thursday December 6, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Donnell House. She was born on September 6, 1932 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of Milton and Linda Mae Tennett Morris. She attended Fairmont schools. She worked for Brockway glass and also at the manor of Washington. Was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, and Steelers fan, loved to garden flowers and watch birds. She was known for her cooking and baking, especially her bread and pies. On August 21, 1948 she married Glenn S. Goughenour who survives of Amity. Surviving in addition to her husband of over 64 years are daughters Linda(John) Rice of Amity, Virginia Mae (Mike) Knizner of Marianna, son James (Linda) Goughenour of Marianna, sister Elizabeth (Bill) Dailey of Waynesburg, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her paretns are a son Glenn S. Goughenour Jr, sister Mary (Hershel) Conrad and a great grandson Michael David Knizner III. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 6-8p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 Main Street Marianna, PA where funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:30p.m. with Pastor John Sweaney officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery.
