Virginia Scopel 88 of McDonald died Sunday February 14, 2016 in St. Clair Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1928 a daughter of the late Sylvester Jsoeph and Mina Delina Willey Williams. She was a 1946 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and then went on to Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as an RN at Woodville State Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, sewing, and was a collector. She married the late Andrew "Wink" Scopel Jr. in 1948. She is survived by four sons John L. (Marie L.) Scopel of Yorktown, VA, Andrew (Janice) Scopel III of Erie, PA, Terry L. (Karie) Scopel of Atlanta, GA, Jeffrey J. Scopel of McDonald, two brothers Lee Williams of Los Angeles, CA Sylvester "Butch" Williams of Naples, Fl, two sisters Doris Kozak of Dayton, Ohio, and Mary Ellen Hemke of Apollo, PA, 7 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, her dog Digger, and cat Harlow. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a son Steven A. Scopel and brother William Williams.
