Walter Leroy Donahoo 75 of Washington died Sunday May 25, 2025 in his home with his family by his side.  He was born at home on Redd's Run Rd on August 21, 1949, a son of the late Walter and Grace Donahoo.  He was a 1967 graduate of Trinity High School.  Leroy worked at various jobs throughout his life starting as a machinist at a local Washington company, at Union Camp, in Westland and Gateway Coal Mines, as a mechanic for Aero Trucking, and then starting his own business Leroy's Car and Truck Repair from where he retired.  He served in the United States Army Reserves.  On December 24, 1975 he married Kathie Mayer of Washington.   Surviving in addition to his wife of almost 50 years are children Bruce W. Mayer (Lisa), Paul K. Mayer (Sarah), Samantha Mayer Gray (John), Rhonda J. Donahoo, two brothers Carl Donahoo and Paul Donahoo, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.   Deceased in addition to his parents are a son Michael Lee Donahoo and brother Arthur Donahoo.  At the request of Leroy all services were privately held and handled by Nichol Funeral Home 1873 E.
