· Walter Leroy (Roy) Eckels of Scenery Hill died Thursday May 3, 2018 in the Washington Hospital.

He was born in Greene County on December 14, 1952 to the late Walter B. and Mildred Wilson Eckels.

He graduated from Bentworth High School in 1972.  He was married to Donna Eckels.

He was self employed as a dump truck driver.

Roy was a former president of the Ellsworth sportsman club.  He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, attending car shows and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He is survived by his wife Donna, one son Walter (Kim) Eckels, Jr. of Scenery Hill and one daughter Bobbi Jo (Bill) Faust of Scenery Hill, two step children Michael (Carol) Herceg, Scenery Hill and Erik (Denise) Herceg, Scenery Hill.  Two sisters, Ella Dale Deditch, Florida and Grace Thomas, Florida.  Nine grandchildren; Chelsea Eckels, Willow Eckels, Destiny Faust, Georgia Faust, Sarah Faust, William Faust, Michael Herceg, Paul Herceg and Kayla Wright.

Family and Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. Sunday May 6, 2018 in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, PA where Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday May 7, 2018 with the Pastor Kevin Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Lone Pine Cemetery.  An online guest book may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com
