William R. Hottel 81 of Scenery Hill died Monday March 16, 2015 in Washington Health Systems. He was born in Winnfield Louisiana on September 16, 1933, a son of the late Mary Headley and Earl L. Hottel. He served in the United States Army being honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1955. He then worked for McGraw Edison as a winder and electrician finisher for over 35 years before his retirement in 1990. On September 21, 1956 He married Shirley Theakston Hottel with whom he has shared 58 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Kathy (Dan) Donahoo of Scenery Hill, William J. Hottel of Scenery Hill, four grandchildren Brittany Moss, Erin Moss, Joey Donahoo, Sarah Donahoo, three great grandchildren Kaylee Tarr, Mackenzie Tarr, and Kiersten Tarr, two brothers Creighton (Toni) Hottel of McMurray, Earl (Janet) Hottel of Finleyville, two sisters Jean Hottel of Florida and Barbara (Gary) Adney of Florida. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family and being handled by Nichol Funeral Home Washington PA
